It mumbled to itself, walking with an unsteady gait towards Gretel. I wonder if she’ll love my ugly self ? That girl who holds an ambiguous boundary between reality and what isn’t. Just like that beautiful woman who had liked me despite how ugly I was. Just like she who had used me and then killed me after once she had no use for me. That terrifying woman. The spirit gradually approached. Towards the girl who was ensnared by delusions. ……Who is it? Are you my dear brother? Or are you… Someone who’ll stand in our way? ## Verse 3 Gretel only wished for one thing: To be in a world where she could be together with her brother. The spirit reached to a conclusion and offered her a compromised suggestion. I’ll lend you my power. The power to protect the world where your brother resides in. With this…with this power, I can… I can kill those who disturb me and my dear brother. ## Verse 4 “Aha…Hahahahahahaha!” Gretel let out a loud, boisterous laugh. It was almost amusing to see how those who dared get in their way suffer. To see how they were blown away with each pull of the gun’s trigger. “Look, dear brother mine! Those who tried to lay a hand on you are now nothing more than smithereens!” Gretal’s laughter continued as she pulled the trigger, over and over, emptying bullets at an empty spot. Shooting someone. Someone who was unseen to the eyes of others. ## Verse 5 “Thank you for this amazing power… It’s thanks to you that brother and I…” The spirit was more than delighted to hear the ecstatic words of gratitude that Gretel offered it. “I’m sure you’ll come to love me. Just like that gorgeous woman who had once loved This hideous snake-like me!” Gretel opened her eyes at the sound of the spirit’s joyful voice. “That gorgeous woman you speak of, Is she still here ? ” Her vacant eyes held a spark of madness. “ Beautiful women will just get in the way.” What if brother sets eyes on that woman? Because, I mean, something like that….Something like that’s just…” “ I’m so envious, so jealous, so much that I’m breaking apart!” The spirit was nothing short of puzzled. It felt confused, watching the broken girl rage at the women made from her own imagination. It had thought that this little girl might be capable of loving it, but, the stark truth of it all was that she didn’t have a grip on reality at all. ## Verse 8 I want to be loved by brother. I should be the only one around for him. If only I was that woman. ## Verse 9 Why, brother? The more I break, the more I smash, the more I kill… I’m so, so jealous. So very jealous that I can’t stop myself. ## Verse 10 After reducing everything around her to dust, Gretel sank down onto the ground. Her eyes stared at an empty void, vacant, expressionless. Nothing was reflected within those depths. No one. But, The spirit still attempted to speak to Gretel. “I was the one who bestowed that power to you.” “That gorgeous, beautiful woman is no longer in this world.” “So I pray that you’ll love me, That you’ll need me by your side.” Gretel’s vacant eyes lit up once more with a flare of life As she set her eyes upon the ugly spirit. You’re not my brother. Ahh, brother…Brother, where are you? Please answer me… Otherwise, I’ll…Aaah, I-I’ll… A-Ahh…Aaah, brother, that person! Who is that!? I’ll kill you, I’ll maim you, I’ll murder you! ” ## Verse 11 The girl who had been swayed by the power bestowed upon her only continued to ramble even more so about her “Brother”. The house made of candy was a mess. It’s surrounding trees nothing more than mere smithereens. The area had transformed into nothing short of a desolate wilderness. “Why is everything only about that brother of yours that no longer exists? Why won’t you love me at all, even though I bestowed such power onto you?” The girl didn’t even attempt to acknowledge the spirit’s presence. She had already been long since broken. She had been unseeing, all this time. Such jealousy, such hatred. That’s why I kill, that’s why I maim! Because…Ahh…Because…… What was it again…? Why am I breaking everything? ## Verse 12 The spirit sighed in disappointment, feeling discouraged for the umpteenth time. “I’m sure I’ll find an existence that will love me the next time.” The lonely, ugly spirit had raised it’s hopes, committed a betrayal on a whim, fell back into the pits of despair once more and left Gretel’s world. And continued it’s search for another partner in yet another world. Searching endlessly, always leaving a trail of broken people who fell victim to the power it proffered. ## Verse 13 “I can’t be bothered, because… It’s unforgivable. Because I’m so very jealous. About anything and everything!” Gretel’s path of destruction cannot be stopped. She couldn’t even remember the reason why she had picked up the gun she currently wielded. A world of desolation. Along with an utterly broken heart. “Ahahahahahahahahahahaha…Haha…!” Only the girl’s laughter echoed in the air, reverberating.
